Conducted various trainings from time to time :

• 4 days Training course on IYCF Under “MAA” Programme in Department of Pediatrics
• Up to now, 1406 staff nurses from 25 High priority districts of UP have benefitted from IYCF training. Sensitization 4200 ASHAs on “MAA” (Mothers Absolute Affection) Programme Govt of India and 4998 AWWs SABRI” Programme of Uttar Pradesh Govt of HPD and “Shabri” districts.
• Sensitization 931 RBSK Doctors/AYUSH Doctors/FDs/SNs and other district level officials of 25 Districts on Community Facilities linkages son SAM and MAA Programme jointly with Sate Unicef Officers.
• At present UNICEF jointly working with the Pediatric Department of BRD Medical College has been at the forefront supporting Govt. initiatives on IYCF in scaling up IYCF across all the health facilities (in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh).
• Assessed more than 250 health facilities (DWHs/CHCs/PHCs) on BFHI indicators.
• 6 days Training of Clinicians on Early Diagnosis and Management of critically ill AES & JE cases At Department of Paediatrics B. R. D. Medical Gorakhpur.
• This training was conducted on in the Department of Paediatrics of B.R.D. Medical College, Gorakhpur (U.P.) for a period of 6 days from 15th March, 2018 till 27th March, 2018 in two batches. The participants are Child Specialist, Paediatricians and MBBS Doctors posted at PICU of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 26 (72%) participants were trained out of 36.
• 2 batches of Facility Based New Born Care Training (for Doctors and Nurses) was conducted in Collaboration with NHM UP, National Collaborative Centre and UNICEF at Department of Pediatrics, B. R. D. Medical College, Gorakhpur dated till July, 2018. 48 nurses and 10 consultants were trained.
• Workshop of on IAP NRP NNF FIRST GOLDEN MINUTE PROJECT – Part 1 WORKSHOP held successfully at BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur under agesis of IAP Gorakhpur on 16th July, 2018.
• More than 58 participants comprising residents, Practicing Pediatricians and Staff Nurses from Department of Pediatrics & Department of Obstratics and Gyanocology participated in the workshop.
• Workshop of on Clinicians on Early Diagnosis and Management of critically ill AES & JE cases for private practioners was organised by department in collaboration with IMA/IAP and AES Cell.
• Department local round quiz was held in collaboration with IAP on 4 & 5th August, 2018 for UGs and PGs.

• A. Establishment of AES Cell in the Department of Pediatrics, BRD Medical College.
• B. Study on Rota Virus vaccine impact assessment study in the Department of Pediatrics, BRD Medical College.
• c. Study on complementary feeding practices in all 19 blocks of Distt. Gorakhpur , in collaboration of UNICEF (U.P.)
