This department began in
B.R.D.
Medical
College, in year 1975, with one faculty member, when a lecturer was appointed. Later on one reader joined in 1976, and one professor in year 1977. Postgraduate courses started in year 1979. Since the beginning of department, 54 candidates of MS in Orthopedics, and 52 candidates of Diploma in Orthopedics, have successfully completed their study.
